2026 Fantasy Outlook
Long has Cabrera tantalized with his impressive stuff. Prior to 2025, he hadn't shown a hint of command or control, but the right-hander impressively shaved his walk rate down from 12.0% to 8.3% last season, while also significantly reducing his home-run rate. His strikeout rate held steady above 25%. There is a real chance those gains go out the window quickly, but Cabrera's improved performance over a career-high 137.2 innings provides reason for optimism. His name has been mentioned often in trade rumors this winter, but the Marlins could very well hold onto him given he has several more years of team control remaining.
