Ky Bush

Bush opened the year with Double-A Birmingham, starting 14 games with a 2.21 ERA and 1.03 WHIP. He was promoted to Triple-A Charlotte, but struggled, posting a 6.16 ERA in 19 frames before getting the call to the bigs. Bush made four starts but walked 16 with only 11 punchouts in 17.2 stanzas. Bush was sent back to the farm where he made one start before suffering a triceps injury. Control has always been an issue for the 6-feet-6 southpaw and his stuff lacks the dominance to compensate. He'll likely get a chance to compete for a back-end rotation spot, but unless Bush exhibits significantly better control, he's destined to return to the minors. Read Past Outlooks
